Masquerade Wins Drama Desk Award for Excellence 2026

The 2026 Drama Desk Award winners have been announced, honoring the best of Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway theatre, competing against each other in all categories.

As previously announced, the Drama Desk committee also gave out numerous special awards, including additional special awards for Initiative off Broadway and director Diane Paulus and her creative team for Masquerade.

Diane Paulus said:

“I love the theatre because it is a place where the impossible becomes possible. When a group of people come together and do something that we can only do together that exceeds what no one person could ever dream of.”
